Christmas Dress

Cyprus got this dress at her baby shower.  I waited until now for her to wear it... it is a little small.  Oops.  Here she is pushing the "triangle" because she know that starts movies.
This is the Angel from the Nativity sent to Cyprus by Grammy (my grandma).  She is so sweet and generous!
Here is the full view.  The dress will probably be worn only once.  It is "dry clean only".  Who's idea was it to EVER make kids clothes dry clean only?  The skirt part of the dress is a beautiful fabric though.  I wouldn't mind a dress out of it.

DECEMBER!!

MY FIRST SNOW ANGEL.  It finally snowed enough here to play.  Cyprus was suprizingly cooperative when I dropped her on her back and told her to wave her arms up and down.  I had to help her a bit, but she really liked the outcome.

CYPRUS THE WHOO.  Ginger made Cyprus this little hat for her birthday and we love it
back view
Cyprus with Santa...  She did much better with Santa this year.  I wish I could find a photo from last year.  Last year at my work party, I put her on Santa's lap, despite her objections.  She cried and cried, I laughed and snapped a photo.  I went over and picked her up, she gave me a big frown and slapped me right across the face!!  How is that for a 1-year-old.   This year.  She walked right up to him (timidly) and let him pick her up.  She wouldn't smile, or talk to him while sitting on his lap, but he gave her a present.  Cyprus loves "presents" and so I helped her thank him and with a big smile, she took her present back to our table.
CURLY HAIR PHOTOS.  I don't know how I am supposed to ever cut this beautiful hair!!  This is how her hair dries out of the bath.  It seems to be growing in a little straighter, but I don't think I will cut it for at least another year.  Isaac says, "What if she's like Samson?  You had better not ever cut it, just to be safe."

Dishes

I stole this picture from my friend Heidi's blog.  Hello, this is my kitchen.  I really don't know how 3 of us can dirty so many dishes at every meal!  If we don't do them at least once a day, I wake up in a pile that I don't even want to think about conquering.  Isaac really likes to dry the dishes, so sometimes when we chat, he convinces me to chat in the kitchen and do dishes.  He even will do them by himself just to be nice....  but when I am the one cooking, if I don't get a handle on them, I am in trouble.  My Aunt Shauna says she never leaves dishes until later.  I am not that disciplined!  If I can get them done now, how much better will it be when I have a dishwasher?

THANKSGIVING

I love thanksgiving.  I think Isaac loves it more.  Football and food.  What else could a guy ask for!  Especially when his wife plays football with him and makes a lot of the food:)!   I was thinking a lot about blessings this morning.  Isaac was reading scriptures out loud and we started talking about Zion's Camp and all the men that were murmuring and those that followed the prophet without complaint.  Who am I?  I think I complain too much sometimes.  We are doing great, but I am often making stupid, trying to be sarcastic, comments about finances, health, family...  When in actuality, I am so blessed.  I really am learning to be content with my 5-8 year old wardrobe and my cute little apartment!  I think this life with Isaac is exactly what I need.  We sure are learning a lot together and loving all the crazy things that come our way.  I am lucky to have the best guy on my team to get through life.
Cyprus loved having thanksgiving at her cousin's house.  In fact, she wants to visit more.  Today she was sitting at lunch and said, " Um, I think we should go to Avalon's.  That would be fun"  Isaac and I sure need to watch what we say.  Cyprus talks just like we do.  So far... she's only repeated a few embarrassing things:)

Happy Halloween!!

Cyprus and I went to Logan to visit my parents for Halloween.  She did a pretty good job of trick-or-treating.  She wanted to do it all by herself.  This is actually her 3rd halloween.  Her first, she was a stick of pink bubble gum (we just put her in a pink sleeper dress), then she was a little cat, check her out this year!

Yes, this post is LATE!!!  But here is my Fairy Princess.  She still reminds me that she is a fairy princess often!  I love fall colors!
Go Cyprus!  I have a picture of me when I was 4 or so as Sheera Princess of Power holding up my sword, just like Cy is holding up her "wand".  The wand is actually a wooden spoon with a hair tie around it!
