My Little Fish

Cyprus LOVES the water.  I have been taking her to a pool weekly for a month and she has really done well.  We got an underwater disposable camera for a school project for Isaac and got some fun underwater shots.  This one is the best!
I love Cy's cheeser in this one... not so much my white thighs, but whatever, that is the color I am!  I am finally listening to my mom and always wearing sunscreen and hats!
She loves the little red slide at the American Fork Rec Center!
Do you know how difficult it is to hold a pose under water?!  Isaac said I look like I am in labor at the bottom of the pool.  I'm not :)  I am laughing though.
I guess this is how I look to fish... anyway.  This swimsuit is not a maternity one, but it has kind of a rouched (I don't know if that is a word, but I thought I saw it describing the gathered fabric on a shirt once) dress overlay.  It is kind of fun.
My brother, Scott, works at the pool in Provo, so I meet him there, or go when he works and we get to go for free.  It is warm and Cyprus will play for a full hour before getting cold.  She jumps off the side (about 1.5 ft above the water) to me and has even started to swim by herself to the steps all underwater!  Scott and I like to have her swim back and forth between us.  She will do that for 30 minutes!  She keeps her eyes open under water and just holds her breath!  The first few times, she freaked me out and I pulled her up.  I calmed down, and let her do it alone and she has done so well.  It is just so much fun to see her take to the water like that.

Belly Pics - 32 weeks

Ok, so I am due in 6 weeks... in the last 2 weeks I feel like I have doubled in size.  These pics are from June 7th, so it has been 2 weeks - I grew 3 cm in that time.  By the way, I got those capris at motherhood maternity and I wear them EVERY DAY!  They are soooo comfortable.  They just stretch right along with me!

Trip to Washington State May 21-24

Cyprus with Isaac's grandpa, Grandpa McCurry
We hiked up Badger Mountain, the tallest one in the area... I was the slow one, but it was nice because Caleb and Dan carried Cyprus for me a lot of the way.  She did a good chunk of the hike by herself though!  Here is my 7 month prego belly... in a xl t-shirt, not the cutest outfit.  More pics coming for that one.

Cyprus and her cousin Harrison.  He is 2 months younger than her.  They don't see much of each other, that was one of the main reasons we made this trip a priority!  They had fun together.
Cameron is Isaac's sister on the right, Harrison is her little boy!  We had a great visit.
Isaac's cousin, Darrel, got married that Saturday.  Cyprus loved seeing the wedding.  Since, Cyprus has wrapped herself up in her bed canopy that is made of the same stuff as wedding veils (toole sp?) and said, "Mamma, look I am a wedding!"
Dan (Isaac's dad) took this one... Here I am!  It was a fun wedding and a good trip.  I was lucky to get one of the captains chairs, Cyprus got the other.  The 3 boys crammed in the back of the minivan.  Caleb was a saint (Isaac's 17 year old brother) to ride with the 5 and 10 year old the entire way.  He mostly reclined with his eyes closed and head phones on.  My favorite was when I heard him sleepily singing, "don't you want me baby, don't you want me, Ohhh..."  It was really funny.  He was really easy going that car ride.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing my old roommie Marie.  We stayed in Boise over-night and she let me stay at her place (the hotel was too cramped with 7 of us).  Since I was pregnant, she had me sleep in her bed and her husband slept with their 3 year old in his room!  I objected, but she wouldn't have it :).  We stayed up talking and giggling like we did our freshman year at Snow College until 4 am!!!  Isaac couldn't believe I did that, but it was really like old times.  We used to do that all the time.  Anyway, it is great to have a friend that you don't see for 3 years and it doesn't even matter.  I loved it.
It was so good to stay up late talking to Cameron.  Since she lives in Washington, I don't see her often.  We do talk on the phone and that is good.  Needless to day, it took me a few days to recoup after my sleep-deprived weekend!  Totally worth it!

Park City - April 26th to May 1st

Cyprus gets some major air!
Hot-cold... over and over!!!  She runs so cute.
Indoor pool and spa

Cyprus and Thomas jumping on the sofa-bed.

Spring semester was Isaac's first time as student, worker, Dad, scout leader, and husband.  It was a crazy one.  He has 3 more semesters just like that coming.  He had about one week in between spring and summer semesters and we planned a little family vacation.  Finals week was crazy and Cyprus kept asking, "when can daddy play?"  so we took off to Park City (my birthday present from Isaac's parents was the condo stay:)  We went swimming every day, usually twice.  Cyprus ran from the "cold pool" to the "hot pool" and back about 30 times each swim trip.  We also walked along the paved trail and went to the park.  Bethany (Isaac's sister), Thomas, and Gabriel (Isaac's cousin's kids) came and stayed with us a few of the days.  It was a welcome vacation.  Now it is back to the grindstone for Isaac.  He should be able to graduate with his bachelor's degree in the spring of 2010.

In the last few months...

Cyprus got a hat from my sister (out of the costume box) and loves it!  She wore it to church on Sunday.  I thought about fighting that one, but didn't.  A lady in our ward came up to me after church and asked, "what was that fuzzy pink blob between you and Isaac?"  All she could see was my head and Isaac's with a blurred pink thing there too.
We had a freak snow storm a few months back and a my neighbor (in the photo) came over and knocked on my door and asked, "did you know a tree fell on your car?"  I had envisioned worse.  Luckily, there is only a small dent on the top of the truck.
My mom's mom (Grammy) came to Utah from California for General Conference.  She also brought with her a huge box of photographs of our family.  I have been scanning photographs that span the last 120 years or so.  It is awesome.  I am getting to know some of my great great grandparents through photos.  It was fun for Cyprus to see Grammy and her dog, Zsa Zsa.
This is one of my favorite outfits that I got for Cyprus.  A bright green hooded t-shirt dress with crazy tights and a hot pink sweater.  If you are wondering what is on Cyprus' forehead, it is a label that says "Cyprus".  We were using the label maker we got for Christmas for other things, but she thought it would be good to label her.

Photoshop grunge editing

I did a tutorial online for this.  I thought it was pretty cool.  It is something that is kind of in style, so I thought I would play.  I have fun with it.  This is just a picture Isaac took at the park of me.  I need to post a pregnant belly photo!

Crafty

Crochet bunny, I got all the yarn in December and finally made my first one.  I think they are so adorable.   I started a seahorse first..but have not finished him yet.  He's a little bigger and more difficult.
Baby boy blankets.  I made 3...  I bought fabric at a killer sale, about 70% off.  Every one I know is having boys, so I have some cute girl fabric that I haven't used yet, but I am going to use some of it for my baby soon.  I like the mitered edges for boy blankets over the frilly... plus it is a lot quicker!  Still looking for fun edge ideas.
