Isaac

Isaac has been working on a jewelry business since 2006.  He finished all the schooling in February.  He got his Graduate Gemologist degree from GIA (in Carlsbad CA) and has been doing some selling.  We moved to Orem to get in on the action there and Isaac decided, he needed a Goldsmith to join up with.  He went on a quest to find a business owner that would be happy doing business with him.  After many promised plans and disappointments, we are happy to announce that Isaac is now working with Sierra~West Jewelry in Orem on 800 E and University Parkway!  Today is his first day going in and will be there for now.  We are thrilled for this opportunity and Isaac is excited to continue helping people find beautiful jewelry and "The Perfect Ring"  (our business name, check it out).

Dead Car & Water Damage

Our red pontiac has been out of commission for a while.  Isaac decided to take a day (turned into 2) to try and fix it.  We started with the ignition switch, then found the solanoid to be out (by the way, I really don't know how to spell any of this) or was it the starter... then he found a hole in the water pump.  That alone to pay to fix is 1,400 bucks.  Then he figured our fuel pump probably is shot too.  We looked up trade in value....  drum roll.... $700!!!  Yay.  So, can we say "kidney car"?  We were at Isaac's parents trying to fix the car, we ended up staying over a few nights and when we got home, we realized the sprinklers in front of our apartment had been on since we left 3 days earlier!  Isaac figured out how to turn them off.  Then, we noticed a really funny smell in our room.  We looked all over for diapers, or dead mice, or anything that could stink like that and found the corner of our room all wet.  Carpet and drywall will probably need some work (thanks to our neighbor's little boy who had been seen messing with the sprinklers-innocent until proven guilty, right?).   Our bed is in the living room:)

Ok, for real!

So I said I was starting to blog... then I didn't.  I have decided that since I got internet I can start again.  News, is Cyprus is almost 2.  She really is the funniest little thing ever.  She has SO MUCH personality.  She loves to laugh and pretend and talk and run...

Speaking of running.  I have just over ONE WEEK until my first marathon!  I am running the St. George Marathon on October 4th.  It is a long distance.  I have been working really hard to get ready.  Probably could have worked harder:)

Isaac had a great idea.  Since I always do the photography, I have no photos of Cyprus and myself, so we had a little session after we got home from the gym on Monday!

I have been receiving a lot of blog updates and thought I might start one myself.  I love to hear from you and see you and your kids.  Time sure goes by quickly.
